Abu Dhabi (Daily Pakistan Online) India is facing Afghanistan in the main match of T20 World Cup today, it is also a battle of survival for India in the event while the average Afghan team of the past now took the second position in their group. And its overall performance in the T20 World Cup is better than India's.


As far as the Indian batting line-up is concerned, India has so far played its first two matches against Pakistan and second against New Zealand. India scored 151 in the first match and 110 in the second, giving India a total score of 262. Afghanistan played its first match against Scotland and scored 190, in the second match it scored 147 against Pakistan and 160 against Namibia.

In Indian batting, opener KL Sharma scored three runs against Pakistan, 18 runs against New Zealand and a total of 21 runs in the event. Rohit Sharma scored zero runs against Pakistan and 18 runs against New Zealand. Captain Virat Kohli has scored 57 runs against Pakistan and 9 runs against New Zealand. Surya Kumar Yadav scored 11 runs against Pakistan. In his place, Ishan Kishan was given a chance in the New Zealand match. He scored 4 runs.

Reshab Pant scored 39 runs against Pakistan, 12 runs against New Zealand. Ravindra Jadeja scored 13 runs against Pakistan and 26 runs against New Zealand.

The Indian bowlers could not bowl any Pakistani batsman while only Jaspreet Bhamra took two wickets against New Zealand.

Team Afghanistan

In the Afghan batting line-up, opener Hazratullah Zazai scored 44 runs in the first match against Scotland, no runs against Pakistan and 33 runs against Namibia. ۔ Muhammad Shehzad scored 22 runs against Scotland, 8 against Pakistan and 45 against Namibia. Rehmanullah Garbaz scored 46 in the first match, 10 in the second and 4 in the third. Najibullah Zadran scored 59 in the first match, 22 in the second and 7 in the third. Captain Muhammad Nabi scored an unbeaten 11 against Scotland, an unbeaten 35 against Pakistan and an unbeaten 32 against Namibia. Gulbadin NAB did not bat in the first match but scored an unbeaten 35 against Pakistan.

In the bowling department, Afghanistan's Mujeeb-ur-Rehman led the way in the first match with five, Rashid Khan with four and Naveen-ul-Haq with one. In the match against Pakistan, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan took two wickets, Naveenul Haq, Muhammad Nabi and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman took one wicket each.


Against Namibia, Naveenul Haq and Hamid Hassan took three wickets each, Gulbuddin NAB two and Rashid Khan one.
