The United States has appointed Rina Amiri as its special envoy to defend the rights of Afghan women.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has announced the appointment of Reina Amiri as Special Representative for the Defense of Afghan Women's Rights.
Anthony Blanken said the United States wants a peaceful, stable, and secure Afghanistan, where all Afghans can thrive politically, economically, and socially.
It should be noted that Reina Amiri, an Afghan-American, has served in the State Department under former President Obama.
