The Indian state of Jharkhand has announced a reduction of Rs 25 (Indian) per liter in the price of petrol.
The Chief Minister of the Indian state of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, announced a reduction in the price of petrol on the completion of two years of government.
The Chief Minister's Office said in a tweet that Rs 25 (Indian) per liter has been reduced for two-wheelers (motorcycles and scooters) in Jharkhand.
According to the state government, the reduction will be effective from January 26, 2022, and each family will be given a subsidy of 10 liters.
The Chief Minister said that the increase in petrol and diesel prices was affecting the poor and middle class and therefore a reduction in petrol rates for two wheelers was announced to provide relief to them.
